Here are some of the projects I worked on
Gentleman’s Quarters
The creation of my father's bourbon room had to have two
elements; rustic and modern. I fully renovated a bare room with the mindset of first creating a modern base and then following it with wood accents.
Certain design elements included a secret bookcase leading to extra storage, iron pipe shelving with hidden light features, a bourbon barrel, and modern minimalist movie posters. I used common wood boards from a hardware store to create the large 7-foot desk with the same stain used for the whiskey shelves. Chains, chisels, and rocks were used to give the desk a thrifted look.
Midwest Italian
How can a midwest cookie cutter home add a little spice? Create an environment that reminds you of your European roots. This space, once used for extra storage, has been overlooked and discredited. A pergola was the perfect addition to this backyard.
The extension of the patio created much-needed seclusion from the rest of the neighborhood. Watch the garden grow while it creates its own privacy fence from other neighbors. Pluck a ripe tomato and take a seat - all that's missing is a slice of tiramisu and a freshly pulled espresso shot.
Contemporary Privacy
This one speaks for itself, difficult to look at laminate, a sink that's been forgotten about, and a cabinet that lacks functionality. The goal was simple: removing anything that looked yellow, and in this case, it was the whole bathroom. The hexagon tiles draw you in as you walk by, reassuring you that it's okay to come in and spend some time alone. The rounded mirror adds depth and warmth, with no sharp edges as you look at yourself while getting ready to start the day.
